Extreme Isolation Index heatmap for Northern communities

This interactive map visualizes eligible communities for the Nutrition North Canada program, and the nearest health care facility (hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, and residential care facilities) for each community. An "Isolation Index" was calculated based on the distance to nearest hospital, number of hospitals and ambulatory care facilities within 100KM, and whether both types are present vs only one vs none (within 100KM).

This figure compares unadjusted FP/GP demand calculated based on different StatCan population growth scenarios and the one used in PRPT.

This figure compares population projections from CBoC and StatCan. 2019 and 2020 values represent actual populations from StatCan.
