Black Carbon Concentrations (ng/m³) from Run 4 in Sechelt, BC, January 12, 2025
This interactive map visualizes black carbon (BlCa) concentrations (ng/m³) measured from mobile sampling Run 4 in Sechelt, BC, January 12, 2025, from 22:02:00 - 23:34:28. The dataset was processed using rolling 30-second averages of BC6 measurements to smooth fluctuations. The spatial interpolation was performed using Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) to estimate BC concentrations across the region. The colour gradient represents BlCa concentration percentiles derived from data collected across all six runs in Sechelt for this study, rather than being based solely on the data from this specific run: Light blue (0–60%): 18.01–235.66 ng/m³ (lowest concentrations) Light yellow (60–70%): 235.66–275.27 ng/m³ Light orange (70–80%): 275.27–341.78 ng/m³ Orange(80–90%): 341.78–467.41 ng/m³ Light red (90–92.5%): 467.41–526.28 ng/m³ Red (92.5–95%): 526.28–587.95 ng/m³ Dark red (95–97.5%): 587.95–750.04 ng/m³ Dark brown (97.5–99%): 750.04–1118.71 ng/m³ Bright purple (99–100%): 1118.71–7691.33 ng/m³ (highest concentrations). Red polylines indicate the mobile sampling route. The base map is provided by OpenStreetMap, and visualization was implemented using Leaflet in R.
