Black Carbon Concentrations (ng/m³) from all Six Runs in Sechelt, BC, 2025
This interactive map visualizes black carbon (BlCa) concentrations (ng/m³) measured during six data collection runs in Sechelt, BC in January 2025. The dataset was processed using rolling 30-second averages of BC6 measurements to smooth fluctuations. The spatial interpolation was performed using Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) to estimate BC concentrations across the region. The colour gradient represents different concentration percentiles: - Light blue (0–70% of the data from the entire data set across 6 runs): Lowest BC concentrations (18.01–275.27 ng/m³). - Yellow (70–80% of the data from the entire data set): Moderate concentrations (275.27–341.78 ng/m³). - Orange (80–90%): Higher concentrations (341.78–467.41 ng/m³). - Red (90–95%): Elevated concentrations (467.41–587.95 ng/m³). - Purple (95–100%): Highest BC concentrations (587.95–7691.33 ng/m³). The base map is provided by OpenStreetMap, and the visualization was implemented using Leaflet in R. This map does not present the sampling routes for clarity of the hot spots.
