Diabetes and Race, Medicare Enrollees (CA)
This study presents a simple linear regression analysis examining the relationship between the percentage of Medicare beneficiaries utilizing outpatient dialysis facility services (y) and the percentage of Medicare Fee-For-Service (FFS) beneficiaries who are Non-Hispanic White (x). The analysis is conducted using data organized by county, focusing exclusively on the state of California.
The primary objective of this analysis is to explore the relationship between race, precisely the proportion of Non-Hispanic White beneficiaries, and the frequency of dialysis services usage among Medicare enrollees, which serves as a proxy for the prevalence of diabetes-related complications.
