Multicollinearity
This script is used to examine the correlation relationships among variables. The correlation coefficient is a value between -1 and 1 that measures the degree of correlation between two predictors. Note that the correlation matrix displays the value 1 along its diagonal, as each variable has a perfect correlation with itself. The higher the value of an element in the matrix, the stronger the correlation between the two corresponding variables.
In this study, multicollinearity is analyzed among raster-based variables to observe the relationships between spectral bands as well as derived variables from band combinations, such as indices.
