This report investigates the health and economic consequences of severe weather events across the United States. Using data from the NOAA Storm Database (1996-2011), the analysis identifies the event types most harmful to population health and those responsible for the greatest financial losses. The project was completed as part of the Johns Hopkins University Reproducible Research course on Coursera.
