This interactive map represents the working Appalachian Highlands spatial extent for the aquatic restoration prioritization in MA. The boundary was created by combining six MassGIS/EPA ecoregions: Berkshire Highlands/Southern Green Mountains, Berkshire Transition, Lower Berkshire Hills, Taconic Mountains, Vermont Piedmont, and Western New England Marble Valleys/Berkshire Valley/Houstaonic and Hoosic Valley. HUC12 watersheds are shown beyond the ecoregion boundary where they intersect. There are 67 municipalities in this working spatial extent.
