Do where I live impact how much I pay for fuel?
This project takes a closer look at EPRA’s monthly fuel price releases to uncover the hidden patterns and inequalities behind the numbers. Through spatial and temporal analysis, I set out to answer two deceptively simple but impactful questions: 1. Does where I live affect how much I pay for fuel? 2. How volatile are fuel prices across towns over time? The findings are both revealing and troubling.

Are people still living longer?
Global life expectancy has risen dramatically over the past century, driven by medical advances, improved sanitation, and socioeconomic development. However, progress has been uneven. While some regions now see lifespans exceeding 80 years, others struggle to reach 70. Persistent gender gaps—with women consistently outliving men—and stark geographic disparities highlight how health outcomes remain deeply tied to social and structural factors. This analysis examines recent trends, testing whether longevity gains continue globally and exploring the roles of biology, geography, and policy in shaping how long we live. Using 2025 UN data, we assess statistical evidence for ongoing increases and identify the most significant divides in life expectancy worldwide.
Experiment on the effect of diet on early growth of chicks
An experiment was conducted to measure and compare the effectiveness of various feed supplements on the growth rate of chicks. Newly hatched chicks were randomly allocated into four groups, and each group was given a different feed supplement. The body weights of the chicks were measured at birth and every second day thereafter until day 20. They were also measured on day 21.

How is Airbnb really being used in and affecting the neighbourhoods in Cape Town, South Africa?
Airbnb claims to be part of the “sharing economy” and a disruptor to the hotel industry. However, data reveals that the majority of Airbnb listings in most cities are entire homes, many of which are rented out year-round. This trend raises concerns about its potential to disrupt housing availability and weaken community ties, as properties that could serve long-term residents are increasingly diverted toward short-term rentals.
