The goal was to see how much we really have improved life expectancy once you eliminate deaths that occur prior to age 30. Taking the overall average, it appears it improved 24.6 years from its lowest point to its highest point, but by omitting <30 deaths, many of which are preventable, the only real improvement appears to be 15 years.
