Glucocorticoid dose tapering in macrophage activation syndrom
Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) is a severe inflammatory condition that can complicate rheumatological disorders, in particular in children. Its treatment typically aims to minimise long-term glucocorticoid (GC) dosage while occasionally administering high-dose pulses.
This PSI-VSIG challenge focused on visualizing trends in the gradual tapering of GC doses during an experimental treatment. The dataset exhibited high inter-individual variability and time-dependent fluctuations, largely due to the GC pulses.
