This analysis uses electronic medical records from 434 patients with Diabetic Foot Infection (DFI), in a tertiary care hospital in Central Malaysia, between January 2010 and December 2019. The objective was to investigate the predictive factors associated with amputation in DFI patients. The information extracted included demographics, clinical characteristics (inflammatory markers and clinical complications), and amputation details. Binary logistic regression was performed to identify significant major vs minor amputation predictors.
