A spatial analysis of climate hazards across Lamu County reveals a concerning distribution of multi-hazard exposure, particularly in coastal and inland flood-prone wards. Using geo-referenced field data, hazards including floods, droughts, rising sea levels, strong winds, coastal erosion, and others were mapped across all major wards. Each GPS point was analyzed for hazard count intensity to highlight overlapping vulnerabilities. Wards such as Faza, Hindi, and Bahari emerged as climate stress hotspots, experiencing four or more concurrent hazards. These areas are not only exposed to frequent flooding and coastal erosion but also face rising sea levels and periods of prolonged drought. Interior wards like Witu and Bargoni also demonstrated elevated vulnerability, with multiple hazards reported in proximity to settlements and agricultural zones. The spatial clustering of hazards suggests the need for localized climate action plans, infrastructure resilience, and community-based adaptation strategies tailored to each ward's specific risk profile.
