GLOBAL TRADING AND GDP INSIGHTS (2014–2024): PATTERNS, PERFORMANCE, AND REGIONAL COMPARISONS
This interactive data visualisation explores global trade dynamics over the past decade using World Bank Open Data (2014–2024). It highlights how exports, imports, and GDP performance evolved across countries and regions, uncovering patterns of economic integration, trade balance shifts, and growth disparities. Through seven interactive charts—including a global trade openness map, regional trends, and GDP–trade correlations—the project reveals the shifting balance of globalisation, from export-driven growth to more regionalised and resilient trade systems. Developed in R (reveal.js + plotly), this presentation transforms complex economic data into an engaging visual story for policy analysts, economists, and students exploring the future of global trade.

Why Theft Is Rising in Victoria: A Story of Cities, Not Inequality
In the last ten years, theft has grown faster than any other type of crime in Victoria. While other offences have stayed steady, theft keeps rising, especially in cities and busy regional areas. Many people think that poorer areas have more theft, but the data tells a more complex story. This project looks at how theft has changed over time, where it happens most, and how it links to social and economic conditions.
