CBAD 393 Analysis Report 1

This project explores historical video game sales using a variety of data visualization techniques in R. The analysis examines sales trends across genres, gaming platforms, publishers, release years, and geographic regions to identify patterns in the global video game market. Using the Video Game Sales dataset, the project demonstrates how visual analytics can transform raw data into meaningful insights through bar charts, line charts, box plots, heatmaps, stacked bar charts, lollipop charts, and an interactive Plotly visualization. The findings highlight the popularity of different game genres, the commercial success of major gaming platforms, regional sales patterns, and changes in market performance over time.
